What I liked
- Most powerful charger at 22.5W
- Large battery charged quickly
- Finished in 1 hour 42
- Beautiful, sophisticated design
- Leading 2017 battery life
- Iconic camera stripe design
What I didn't
- Front portraits are softer than the Pixel 2 XL's
- Less sharp and accurate than Google's phones
- 1080p display
- AI subtler than marketing suggests
- Camera not quite as good as Note 8 or Pixel 2 XL
- No wireless charging or headphone jack
In my words

“considering the Huawei has a much larger capacity and only took marginally longer to charge a lot of people would argue that that was the true winner”
“one of the most subtly sophisticated and beautiful phones that 2017 actually produced”
“that iconic stripe that almost highlighted the camera modules in a subtle but really pleasant looking way”
“when I did the same thing with the mate 10 Pro within probably half a second it had a full translation on the screen”
“it's a really good productivity machine”
“the camera the battery life and the performance are absolutely top-notch”
