Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
Worth it if…Worth it, with caveats.
A compact, well-judged flip phone with a genuinely useful cover screen and decent cameras, though folding makes it expensive for the specs and Samsung is being a little lazy.

What I liked
- He very nearly switched to it
- Folds in half
- Very compact when folded
- Cover screen is useful without being distracting
- Selfie camera features using the main cameras
- Bigger battery and cooler chip
What I didn't
- Smaller cover screen than the Flip 5
- About an hour less battery life than the Flip 5
- About one and a half times the price
- Weakest cameras in Samsung's flagship lineup
- Noticeable crease
- Specs closer to a $700 phone
