Xiaomi Air Charge
Worth it if…Worth it, with caveats.
Exciting step towards the future of charging, but it is only an announcement with a 5W limit, Xiaomi-only phones and plenty of unanswered questions.

What I liked
- Can charge multiple devices at once
- Reportedly works even with objects in the way
- Xiaomi has the scale and money to do it properly
- Lets you keep using the phone while it charges
What I didn't
- Limited to five watts per device
- Needs a phone with a beacon antenna and 14 other antennae
- Even less efficient than normal wireless charging
- Only an announcement, unlikely to be sold globally

“the power limit per device is kept at five watts”
“i highly doubt this particular product you're seeing in this commercial is anything you're going to be able to buy globally”
“if xiaomi have actually figured a way to get around this then fair play to them”
