Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
Worth it if…Worth it, with caveats.
Slimmest and best-feeling foldable he has used, with fast charging and strong performance, but the format's compromises mean he does not recommend foldables to most people yet.

What I liked
- Thinnest foldable
- Much thinner and feels like a normal phone when folded
- Performance on par with or better than Z Fold 4 under sustained load
- Charges twice as fast and includes charger and case
- Good main camera
What I didn't
- Only released in China
- Weak hinge with no flex mode
- Zoom and ultra wide cameras downgraded
- No inner selfie camera
- Tiny-sounding speakers
- Poor Google apps support on the Chinese model
