I built the Dream Smart Kitchen

Slower and simpler than the Revolution, but it makes clearly better toast every time.

Fast and highly customisable, but the toast doesn't look like the preview and it is covered in fingerprints.

Turns a protein shake into proper ice cream and he rates it a 10, calling it the underdog next to the slushy machine.

Lives up to the social media hype, turning a fizzy drink into a fizzy, melt-in-the-mouth slush.

Nugget ice was slow to make and unappealing, giving it only 3 out of 10.

A thoughtless-to-use bin that opens with a sensor and keeps trash smelling fresh, though it locks you into the ecosystem.

Even better than the bin, a clever bundle of paper towel holder and spray bottle.

His favourite Simplehuman product, going two months without needing a recharge or refill.

Space efficient, though he found its knock-to-see-inside marketing funny.

Seamless, scratchproof and dishwasher-safe plates, with very thin but strong glasses.

Exceptionally nonstick and beautiful, with thoughtful touches like magnetic storage holders.

A strainer that keeps pasta upright so you can pour away water without leaking, which he calls a game changer.

Salt and pepper grinders with an insane level of grind control.

Used in a hidden candlelight automation scene he calls his favourite.

Not the best purifier for the money and the app is unreliable, but it suits the room and works as a scent diffuser.

Added to match the earthy green theme, with its control box hidden in the wall.
