The Best Android Launcher of 2019?

A Pixel-style launcher whose themes and Smart Unread notification feature set it apart.

Shows apps as words sized by usage; a novelty but an interesting one.

Not the neatest and has an intrusive ad, but the swipe-up widgets and wallpapers are good.

A great concept for minimising distractions, with no icons and battery savings on OLED in the pro dark theme.

Puts your phone's capabilities in one list page, so you rarely need the status bar.

Offers lots of control but looks laughable out of the box; good with time.

The absolute king of customisation with one huge scrollable page, but rough looking out of the box.

Clean and colourful with a handy wallpaper shuffle, but spammy recommendations and sponsored posts.

A light, snappy launcher for lower-end phones that is clean with an icon pack but offers limited control.

Looks good and is customisable, but stability is a concern and an update wiped his layout.

Fast launcher similar to Mint, with a customisable dark mode and colour grouping.

Overwhelming customisation that is overkill for most, but astonishing for the few who want it.

Changes how the phone works with unread counters and a polished news feed, though the discover section is spammy.

Simple but effective list-based launcher that works well one-handed.

A free Pixel-inspired launcher with the important features and an optional Google feed plug-in.

An experimental launcher with 3D animations and very fine tuning, including icon filters.

Not a launcher but a live wallpaper app with so much functionality it nearly acts as one, with presets for instant setups.

Feature-packed launcher with a feed subspace, Cortana, daily wallpaper and a swipe-up dock he likes.

A fast launcher with a lot of control over colour.

Beautiful and needs the least work to look good, though app sorting made some mistakes.

Keeps most features a few gestures away while staying very clean, even hiding music controls until needed.

One of his favourites: different from Pixel style, clean and practical, with fast access to everything.

A seriously amazing Pixel-inspired launcher that is deeply customisable, fast and clean from install.

Second place: polished and slick with refreshing attention to detail, vast customisation and long-press commands.

His number one pick: the best compromise between light, fast and customisable, and what he'd recommend for most people.
