I tested the most EXTREME TOYS

Opens the video as a throne that bolts onto a Segway and fires gel blasters, shown but not rated.

Self-moving chess board he loves, though the pieces feel cheaper than their price suggests; he gives it a strong 8/10.

Impressive at precise drawing, but calibration is fiddly and the wall-drawing focus is niche.

A capable table tennis robot for serious players, with a basic tablet and an unattractive but stable app.

The most powerful Nerf gun, but accuracy lags behind the power and it feels like a 3D printed product, so he wouldn't recommend it to most.

Gamifies water fights with a display and pressurised water bullets, but is inaccurate past about five metres; he gives it a 7.

Used to show how absurdly the complexity of Rubik's Cubes scales, ending with a 13x13 he left a colleague to solve.

The coolest toy he has ever used, marked down slightly by the $549 price and the need to buy two; he gives it a 9.

A 155mph RC car that does exactly what it promises, expensive but a straight 10.

A movie-accurate premium lightsaber with its own software that feels unbelievably premium, costing around 100 times a toy-shop saber.
