I tested the Craziest Xiaomi Gadgets!

A $9 magnetic motion light with double the range of rivals; he would buy one for every bedroom.

Competent thermos-kettle hybrid, but he doesn't see who needs it.

Consumer-friendly resin printer with a much better finish than filament printers, though the resin is smelly and cartridges are single-use.

A pretty, USB-C charged cordless screwdriver that does everything most people need.

Thinner, longer-lasting precision screwdriver that will stay around the new house.

Minimal, accurate laser measure with a clever app, and his first 10 out of 10.

Slick, capable smart clock with decent sound and smart home control, held back only by an LCD screen.

A clean, cheap desk light bar, but lacks the auto colour temperature and back light of his BenQ.

The monitor light bar he used in the old house and loved, used as the reference point.

An elegant, smart but expensive way to scent your car that is worth the price.

As good as pricier massage guns at a quarter of the price with 13 hours of battery, but bulkier than a Theragun Mini.

Gives a worse massage than the Xiaomi but he'd still use it more as it fits in his backpack pocket.

Very comfy pillow, but its sleep tracking was clearly inaccurate compared with the Apple Watch.

Used as the reference for sleep data, and its readings matched his experience.

The best water gun available, with clever features, but poor value at $250.

The most polished, refined electric scooter he has tried, with strong acceleration, 55 km range and a puncture-resistant tyre.
